"Anthony knows how to guide people through acting scenes, whether it’s their first time or fifth time. He has a keen eye for constructive criticism. Anthony was also really great at pushing for class participation and discussion, as well as making sure everyone is included and talks. He initiated and monitors our classroom warmups and activities, but also makes sure to step back every once in a while so the class can fully interact with each other."

- UCSD Acting Student

"Anthony is a warm, kind-hearted, enthusiastic person whose energy is infectious. He made this class something I looked forward to coming to every time. He is so passionate about acting and that vibe rubs off on you so going into it even if you are a little uncomfortable at first or feel awkward you learn to love acting because of him. He was very organized in terms of the layout of the quarter, what he expected from us, and how we'll work together so there was no confusion and he has been very understanding. He is honestly one of the best teachers I've had at UCSD."

- UCSD Acting Student

"Anthony was an overall amazing TA, and really made this class fun and engaging every session. Even though this class was online, he made the most of the situation and made my class feel just as important as an in-person one. Anthony gave quality feedback and was able to get me out of my comfort zone and push me to do things I never would’ve thought I could do. But, he always made sure everyone was comfortable with the material being worked on in class and never forced anyone to do anything they didn’t want to. In general, Anthony provided a safe space for us to listen to each other, take risks, fail, make mistakes, succeed, do great scene work, and be ourselves."

"I cannot say enough good things about Mr. Adu. I came into public speaking confident in my skills but Anthony's inventive yet effective notes and have shown and pushed me towards a higher level of public speaking I had not known before."

- UCSD Public Speaking Student

"Anthony excels in creating an ideal classroom space. Anthony's infectiously positive personality encourages the whole class to feel more comfortable, attentive, and confident in participating in class. He gives specific and innovative notes to each student that consistently cause a growth in each students' speeches. Anthony's ability to effectively teach his knowledge is noteworthy."

- UCSD Public Speaking Student

"Anthony Adu is a fully committed and passionate teacher, giving 110% of himself. He provides thorough and insightful guidance to his students in the class and generously meets with students outside of class as well. Anthony adapted with ease to the online platform, giving top notch instruction."

- Carla Harting, Public Speaking Supervisor

"Anthony was the Supervising TA for this quarter and was exemplary in every way. He runs a well-organized weekly meeting with his peers, leading discussions on weekly curriculum and instruction, as well as trouble shooting challenging situations in the classroom. Anthony is a very able teacher with a clear understanding of the subject matter. Anthony's passion for the work, his generosity with his students and his enormous heart make him a wonderful teacher and mentor to his peers."

- Kim Walsh, Acting Supervisor

"Anthony is the best TA I've ever had in my four years of college -- I cannot say enough good things about him. I took this class for fun, but I did not expect to learn SO much. Anthony always taught with the utmost kindness and empathy. And, at the end of the day, isn't that what acting is? Acting is the purest form of empathy -- to step into someone else's shoes and re-live their experiences. I learned the basic fundamentals of acting. But beyond that, I learned to be kinder to myself and others. I learned to feel comfortable taking up space. I learned to fully embrace myself. I learned that it was okay to make mistakes. Every Tuesday and Thursday, around 12:30 PM, my day would always get better."
